The vaccination certificate is expected to become more important in the coming days, as several countries are developing systems that will require travellers to provide proof of vaccination before travelling.
The government has advised against sharing the coronavirus vaccination certificate on social media because it contains sensitive personal information that could be misused.
The certificate includes the child’s name, age, gender, and vaccination information, such as the name of the vaccine and the dates of the first and second doses.
The warning was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs via its Cyber Dost Twitter handle, which promotes cyber-safety and cybersecurity awareness.
COVID-19 vaccination certificates can be obtained from both the CoWIN portal and the Aarogya Setu app.
