Hindi is a widely spoken language in India with it’s origins from Sanskrit. But many South Indians have a bit of issues with understanding the daily, ‘Aap kaise ho’ to ‘Dimag kharab hogaya hai kya?!’ We aren’t acquainted to hindi, a South Indian myself, we incline more towards English and our regional languages.
So Here are some problems I faced with comprehending Hindi:
1. When I meet some Stranger
When I’m meeting some strangers, and they’re speaking to me in hindi. I be like What? Hindi? With me?! And then I tell them I don’t know hindi. Can you speak in English?!
2. During Some Beauty Online Course
When I had joined the course and entered into the zoom class, and realised that they’re speaking in Hindi. I went like Oh really?? Why didn’t I check the language? Oh no!.
3. During My Travel
When I travelled to Delhi for a visit, it was so fascinating; We had amazing visits to each and every place for side seeing there but mostly they knew only Hindi. It was difficult for us to communicate. We found it hard, even to check the bus details!. The entire trip we faced problem was due to the language!
4. When my Group of Friends speak in Hindi
When my gang of friends speak in hindi, just to make a confidential talk that I shouldn’t understand I swear, I feel so unimportant. They communicate within themselves as if they were planning to get me thrown out of the house one day! Or maybe talking ill about me! Nonetheless they did translate, but I never knew if it was the truth!
So yeah this what happens when you are a Non Hindi Speaker in a country that has exquisite Hindi speeches and nasty dialouges!
