Ms. Baishali Dalmiya has been providing help and doing social work for more than twenty years of her life and she doesn’t stop her kindness from flowing.
People who want to share their kindness will always find some path, then it doesn’t matter if they are professional, politician, or an employee.
Ms. Baishali Dalmiya, has been a MLA in Bally Constituency, West Bengal for the past five years of her life. She lost the elections this year but does that stop her from social service? Well, no. She has been providing help and doing social work for more than twenty years of her life and with her position down she doesn’t stop her kindness from flowing.
In the Covid times, she has been helping patients by arranging with medicines, food and where need be … even beds
On 20th May 2021, she took to Facebook and posted about a teacher of Liluah, Howrah.
Sri Amal Maity who has been having a financial crisis because of no tuition during the lockdown. His daughter was on chemotherapy, as she had brain tumor. Things worsened when the entire family was tested Covid positive. With such a financial crash, Sri Amal Maity wasn’t even able to properly afford his daughter’s treatment. Ms. Baishali Dalmiya, not only helped them financially herself, even launched a campaign by requesting people to help this family in whatever ways they could, be it proving cooked food or medicines, anything. And people did come forward, providing all necessary things!
The small hidden truth behind this is, the teacher had tried getting help from around but didn’t get any response. Finally, he connected to Ms. Baishali and she assured him to help. She firstly herself gave him an amount of 10k for their treatments and food. As Sri Amal Maity’s health detoriated a bit, she helped him get hospitalized in a government hospital and he is doing fine now. Not only now for last couple of years as she organized major amount for the treatment for his daughter at reputed speciality private hospitals. With other people’s help, even the family of the teacher was in a safe zone. She made sure she thanked every single person who came forward to help this family, via posting thanks for their contributions on Facebook.
In recent days, she collaborated with ‘Apkishakti’ an organization to help elevate people who have become hopeless in this pandemic. She did a life, one on one counseling thereby talking to people and spreading the wings of positivity.
She plans for huge projects for helping others and decides to do it herself and by the way, she did this all when she wasn’t an MLA anymore! We have a lot to learn from her and wishing her a bit of good luck with all her good and noble work!
Just like the Bengali Rasogulla, the Bengali people also carry a sweetheart and like ‘Chashni’ it melts whenever they see anyone of the humanitarian sea suffering and well they always drive in to help.
And probably, Miss Baishali Dalmiya proved it what other thinks of you doesn’t matter because it doesn’t change you.
