I guess we all know about the recent interview of BTS for their new summer song “BUTTER” which was taken by Sakshma Srivastav. Well the reason it was so exclusive for the Indian Army was because it was done by an Indian interviewer.
Well it has happened before by a NDTV reporter too but there are different aspects because of which the 2nd interview became more wanted by the people.
The moment it came into limelight and the teaser was released of the interview, there were a lot hate comments too for Sakshma as she stated in her Instagram live. She said that everybody was saying that “I hope she is not cringy” and “I hope she didn’t made them uncomfortable.”
Well even in the teaser you can see how she was being such a kind and genuine person with all the members and if it’s not enough then you can watch the interview again and again until you realize how good she was and how great she did. She also said in her live that how confident she was being.
She attended all members individually making everyone participate in the conversation (as our teachers tried to do when we were in class having a serious discussion).
She basically said some small things which makes a conversation better like appreciating J-Hope for his donations which he did for children in Tanzania on Children’s Day also appreciating other members for donating for the ones in need. (You’ll know more when you’ll watch the whole interview)
For me the whole interview was presented as beautiful as it can be.
Let’s talk about some more “BUTTER” interviews and the questions and statements that I thought made them uncomfortable. (We don’t want to spread hate to anyone because the interviewers also asked a lot of good questions too so, no mentioning of the show or interviewers names.)
1. “Is it a Dream to have Collaboration with Justin Bieber.”
Since there were rumors that BTS might be having a collaboration with Justin Bieber so asking this question was a good thing as fans might want to know but on the second thought if you’ll re-read the question you will find that it was a ‘little’ triggering because of that ‘dream’ word.
As Namjoon also clarified that “It’s not a dream. We are in the same ‘company’. We are company friends. So it’s not a dream. But it hasn’t happened yet.” He also said “If you see this friend call us or come to Korea.” referring to Justin Bieber.
We know that Justin is in music industry since 2010 and BTS debuted in 2013. We also know how much Jungkook appreciate Justin and other foreign artist like Halsey or Ariana Grande or Charlie Puth too and there are much more in the list.
It was a little insensitive to say that because it was just making the feeling of tension between the interviewer and the interviewees.
2. The Interviewer saying that it feels like a Summer Song when it was basically a Summer Song.
I just can’t comment on that. Namjoon himself was like “Oh really noo”(feel the sarcasm).
[I personally thought that he might be like “I am just done.” (Imagine the meme with “I am done” face)]
3) Too Much Questions about their Next Music.
Well, it is an alluring thing to ask your favorite artist but asking it again and again can literally be a little exhausting for the artist itself.
Just think, an artist releasing a new album and then answering the same question in each and every interview about the next album. Like, they have literally released a whole album or a new song and they might not have thought about the new song themselves and everyone is asking about what next?
There are a lot more comments and questions that I thought were cringe and should not be asked in an interview and that too with ‘The’ biggest boy band in the world.
This article was literally not to hurt someone’s feelings or degrading someone’s image and that’s why I never used the names of the interviewers or their show names and it was not biased at all. Even if I am an army and I wrote this article, I asked my both army and non-army friends about their opinion.
It was basically to show under how much pressure a person can go because of someone’s comments. And even if that person is okay with these kind of comments then also it doesn’t give us any right to put pressure on someone.
